Tours in Saigon
Located in an area known in the Vietnam war as the Iron Triangle, the remains of a real bloody battlefield, which is a complex network of tunnels built during the long years of wars. The walking visit of the tunnels will give you an authentic look at the former Vietnam War to understand how the guerrillas lived and fought by visiting different bunkers for weapon, guard, Commander, meeting, kitchen, dining, etc. If interested, you can also shoulder an AK47 and shoot off a few rounds (about $2 per bullet – your own expense) at the shooting range. Return to Saigon for lunch at a local restaurant and your time will be at leisure for your own exploration.
After breakfast, at around 8:00am, meet with your private guide at the hotel lobby and take a 2-hour drive passing paddy fields and tributaries to Tien Giang in the Mekong Delta. On arrival, take a boat ride on the Mekong River to see bustling daily life activities on this mighty river of the Mekong Delta. Then get off at one of many islands for further exploration with combination of a leisure bike ride and/or just walking. The journey will take you through local villages, green fields, and orchards. Enjoy seasonal fresh fruits, green tea or even home-made rice wine, and the tranquil nature of the region in the middle of a garden. Stop at an old house or a local restaurant for a delicious and filling lunch. Return to Saigon later in the afternoon, arriving at about 5:30pm.

Then, pay a visit to the War Remnants Museum for an overall picture of the most recent wars in country. End your day at Ben Thanh market for some shopping spree, if interested and return to your hotel early in the afternoon.
In the early morning, at around 6:00, meet with your private guide at the hotel lobby and set out to discover “another” Saigon, without traffic and heat, on a vintage sidecar (with expert driver). The first stop will be Nha Rong Harbor, where President Ho Chi Minh boarded on the “Latouche Treville Admiral” for a long journey to find out a solution to liberate the country. Next, drive pass the City Zoo, the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Post Office, and the Saigon Opera House. Then, pay a visit to a floating market in District 4 and continue to drive through early bustling traffic to a wholesale flower market. Make a stop at a local coffee shop or a local noodle soup “Pho“ for a lovely tour ending with some local taste. Or, return to your hotel for breakfast, if desired.
