There are two airports in Bangkok: Don Mueang Airport (DMK) & Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). Suvarnabhumi is Thailand’s main airport and handle most of the international travels to and from Thailand.

Thailand is a country known for its beautiful nature, stunning beaches and spectacular islands. It is also known for its delectable local food, unique culture & history making it one of the Southeast Asia’s most popular destinations for tourists.
Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand with modern skyscrapers, temples, famous street food and massive malls and outdoor markets. You can explore the city on your own and our local guides can suggest sites you can visit during your free time. If you prefer a guided tour of the city, we are happy to set this up for you.
On this page, we have listed available Pre-Program Optional Day Tours, Evening Tours, Post Program Extension Tours outside of the city and outside of Thailand. We can make adjustments if you prefer to add more sites, combine itineraries or extend these visits. If you wish to extend to other exciting or exotic destinations, we would be pleased to assist you in planning post program visits to Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and other countries in Asia. Please contact our office for assistance. These tours are exclusive for your group only. You will be accompanied by an English-speaking guide and private transportation.
Your accommodation starts on Saturday, May 27th. You have a free day on Sunday, May 28th. If you plan to arrive before the 27th, then you’ll have more time to explore Bangkok.
Meet with your guide at the hotel lobby for a half day tour of Bangkok City. Before entering the main gate to the temple of the Emerald Buddha, stop by the Royal Regalia Museum to see the beauty of decorative jewelry, which used to be ornament of the royal officers and consorts. Walk in to enjoy the beauty of the temple of The Emerald Buddha. Visit the most sacred Buddha statue of the nation there, and enjoy the stunning buildings which you cannot miss taking photos of, every time you turn around. Get into the second court where the major throne halls are located. Visit inside the Amarin Tharawinitchai throne and the Dusit Mahaprasart throne.

After breakfast, meet with your guide at the hotel lobby and drive to the ancient city of Ayutthaya (111th World Heritage by UNESCO), located 71km north of Bangkok (about 2hours drive). Ayuthaya offers a fascinating glimpse on ancient Siam’s splendor. Both ruins and reconstructed sites abound in the area. You will visit and learn the history of famous temples such as Wat Prasrisanphet, Viharn Phra Mongkolborphit, Wat Mahathat, Wat Ratchaburana, Wat Lokayasutharam, Wat Chai Wattanaram and a wonderful Ayutthaya historical park. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.

Meet your guide at the hotel lobby and take a trip to Kanchanaburito and visit interesting places such as the Allied War Cemetery, Thailand-Burmese Railway Center and the Bridge over River Kwai. Also, take a ride on a scenic train across the Kwai River. After lunch at local restaurant, enjoy elephant bathing activity. Make sure to bring your own towels, swimsuit and change of clothes.

You’ll start your adventure with an early pickup from your hotel. Meet your driver at the hotel lobby. ElephantsWorld is a conservation organization dedicated to helping these intelligent and proud creatures. Once there, you’ll listen to an introduction and safety briefing before preparing food for the elephants. You will assist in giving the elephants a mud bath before heading to the river to rinse them off. There will be some time to shower before a delicious buffet lunch. After helping yourself to delicious Thai dishes, feed the elephants the food you prepared earlier.

Rooftop Bar & Temple from 4:00 – 8:00pm (4 hours)
Discover the beauty of old Bangkok in the evening with a professional tour guide. Visit the flower market and historical temples like Wat Knlaya and Wat Arun. Cool off with a beer at a rooftop bar while enjoying the sunset. You can have dinner at a riverside hotel on your expense.

Tuk Tuk & Street Food from 5:00 – 9:00pm (4 hours)
Visit the three most famous sites of Bangkok by tuk tuk. Explore Bangkok Chinatown and experience street food. Continue trip to flower market and buy a bouquet of local orchids for your room. Last stop is a giant swing and try the noodles at pratupee area. Maximum 6 pax per tuk tuk.

Evening Canal Tour from 4:30 – 6:00pm (1.5 hours)
One of the best ways to explore Bangkok is by boat. A cruise along the Chao Phraya River and the canals of Thonburi on the west side of the river reveal scenes at odds with the bustling, modern inner city. Boat capacity is 8 – 10 people.
