Private teakwood shuttle boats provide access to the award-winning The Oriental Spa, the hotel’s Fitness & Wellness Centre, The Oriental Thai Cooking School and Sala Rim Naam and Terrace Rim Naam – the hotel’s Thai restaurants located across the river.

Your class reservations at the Mandarin Oriental are Deluxe Premier Single Rooms for seven (7) nights with daily breakfast for 1 person.  Deluxe Premier Room is 43 sqm and has elegant décor with city and river views.  If you wish to:

  • Add a second person in the room, there is a supplement charge of $225 for the week (breakfast & taxes).
  • Upgrade your room or extend your accommodations, please request through our office and we can arrange this for you.  This must be prepaid to our office to confirm and guarantee the group rate.  You may also include this request on the Registration Page.

FLIGHT OPTIONS TO BANGKOK

Crown International Travel Inc. have access to all the airline reservation systems.  We don’t offer a discounted fare for individual tickets but we always do our best to find the best available airfare.  If you have at least 10 people interested in traveling together, please contact our office and we can check the price for a group rate.

Please plan to attend a reception in Bangkok on Sunday evening, October 20th and farewell reception in Singapore on Saturday evening, October 26th.  Your accommodation is from October 19th, check out October 27th.  Please visit the HOTEL INFO page for details.

EMBA students are responsible for their own airfare to Bangkok and leaving Singapore.  Crown International Travel can assist you with flight arrangements and ground travel.

  • Arrival transfer and Fast track service on October 19th from the airport in Bangkok to the Mandarin Oriental will be covered by the EMBA Program.
  • EMBA will also cover your arrival transfer and fast track service if you’re arriving before October 19th and will stay at the Mandarin Oriental
  • Group flight on October 23rd from Bangkok to Singapore will be arranged and covered by the EMBA Program.  If you plan to bring guests/spouse, you must reserve a spot on the group flight on or before July 19th.  This is also the deadline to cancel if you have already reserved a spot, if canceled after July 19th, it will be 100% non-refundable.  See below for flight details.
  • Departure transfer service on October 27th from the Four Seasons Singapore to the airport will be covered by the EMBA Program.
  • Please note, if you’re traveling with guests/spouse, arrival and departure transfer service for your guest will be at your own expense.

Airport Information

There are two airports in Bangkok: Don Mueang Airport (DMK) & Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK).  Suvarnabhumi is Thailand’s main airport and handle most of the international travels to and from Thailand.

EXTENSION TOURS

Thailand  is a country known for its beautiful nature, stunning beaches and spectacular islands.  It is also known for its delectable local food, unique culture & history making it one of the Southeast Asia’s most popular destinations for tourists.

Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand with modern skyscrapers, temples, famous street food and massive malls and outdoor markets.  You can explore the city on your own and  our local guides can suggest sites you can visit during your free time.  If you prefer a guided tour of the city, we are happy to set this up for you.

On this page, we have listed available Pre-Program Optional Day Tours, Evening Tours, Post Program Extension Tours outside of the city and outside of Thailand.  We can make adjustments if you prefer to add more sites, combine itineraries or extend these visits. If you wish to extend to other exciting or exotic destinations, we would be pleased to assist you in planning post program visits to Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and other countries in Asia. Please contact our office for assistance.  These tours are exclusive for your group only.  You will be accompanied by an English-speaking guide and private transportation.

Available Optional Tours

Your accommodation starts on Saturday, May 27th.  You have a free day on Sunday, May 28th. If you plan to arrive before the 27th, then you’ll have more time to explore Bangkok.

Half Day Tours:

Bangkok’s Grand Palace Complex and Wat Phra Kaew (8:30am – 12:00pm or 1:00pm – 4:30pm)

Meet with your guide at the hotel lobby for a half day tour of Bangkok City.  Before entering the main gate to the temple of the Emerald Buddha, stop by the Royal Regalia Museum to see the beauty of decorative jewelry, which used to be ornament of the royal officers and consorts. Walk in to enjoy the beauty of the temple of The Emerald Buddha. Visit the most sacred Buddha statue of the nation there, and enjoy the stunning buildings which you cannot miss taking photos of, every time you turn around. Get into the second court where the major throne halls are located. Visit inside the Amarin Tharawinitchai throne and the Dusit Mahaprasart throne.

Full Day Tours:

Trip to Ayutthaya (7:30am – 5:00pm)

After breakfast, meet with your guide at the hotel lobby and drive to the ancient city of Ayutthaya (111th World Heritage by UNESCO), located 71km north of Bangkok (about 2hours drive). Ayuthaya offers a fascinating glimpse on ancient Siam’s splendor. Both ruins and reconstructed sites abound in the area.  You will visit and learn the history of famous temples such as Wat Prasrisanphet, Viharn Phra Mongkolborphit, Wat Mahathat, Wat Ratchaburana, Wat Lokayasutharam, Wat Chai Wattanaram and a wonderful Ayutthaya historical park.  Lunch will be at a local restaurant.

Price:

    • 1 pax = $250.00 per person
    • 2 – 5 pax = $160.00 per person
    • 6 – 10 pax = $80.00 per person
    • 20 pax = $70.00 per person

Trip to Kanchanaburi, Death Railway & Elephant Bathing (6:00am – 7:00pm)

Meet your guide at the hotel lobby and take a trip to Kanchanaburito and visit interesting places such as the Allied War Cemetery, Thailand-Burmese Railway Center and the Bridge over River Kwai. Also, take a ride on a scenic train across the Kwai River. After lunch at local restaurant, enjoy elephant bathing activity.  Make sure to bring your own towels, swimsuit and change of clothes.

    • 2 – 5 pax = $195.00 per person
    • 6 – 10 pax = $104.00 per person
    • 20 pax = $95.00 per person

Elephant Sanctuary in Kanchanaburi with driver (pick up at 6:am, travel time is around 2 1/2 – 3hours)

You’ll start your adventure with an early pickup from your hotel. Meet your driver at the hotel lobby.  ElephantsWorld is a conservation organization dedicated to helping these intelligent and proud creatures. Once there, you’ll listen to an introduction and safety briefing before preparing food for the elephants. You will assist in giving the elephants a mud bath before heading to the river to rinse them off. There will be some time to shower before a delicious buffet lunch. After helping yourself to delicious Thai dishes, feed the elephants the food you prepared earlier.

Price:

    • 1 pax = $275.00
    • 2 – 5 pax = $180.00 per person
    • 6 – 10 pax = $145.00 per person
    • 20 pax = $125.00 per person

Evening Tours: 

Rooftop Bar & Temple from 4:00 – 8:00pm (4 hours)

Discover the beauty of old Bangkok in the evening with a professional tour guide.  Visit the flower market and historical temples like Wat Knlaya and Wat Arun.  Cool off with a beer at a rooftop bar while enjoying the sunset.  You can have dinner at a riverside hotel on your expense.

Price: $90.00 per person

  • Minimum 2 people required to operate the tour
  • Price includes: tour guide, boat to Wat Arun or MRT or Tuk Tuk

Tuk Tuk & Street Food from 5:00 – 9:00pm (4 hours)

Visit the three most famous sites of Bangkok by tuk tuk.  Explore Bangkok Chinatown and experience street food.  Continue trip to flower market and buy a bouquet of local orchids  for your room.  Last stop is a giant swing and try the noodles at pratupee area. Maximum 6 pax per tuk tuk.

Price: $100.00 per person

  • Minimum 4 people to operate this tour.
  • Price includes: tour guide, Tuk Tuk, beer + snack

Evening Canal Tour from  4:30 – 6:00pm (1.5 hours)

One of the best ways to explore Bangkok is by boat.  A cruise along the Chao Phraya River and the canals of Thonburi on the west side of the river reveal scenes at odds with the bustling, modern inner city.  Boat capacity is 8 – 10 people.

Price: $60.00 per person

  • Minimum 3 people to operate this tour.
  • Price includes: tour guide, long tail boat
  • This tour does not include temple stop
