Tour in Seoul

Full Day DMZ Tour w/ lunch and Third Tunnel: Sunday, March 11th, 8:30am - 4:30pm, $80.00

Korea is the only divided country in the world. After the Korean war ended, South Korea and North Korea negotiated and then desigmated the DMZ 2 km away from the truce line on each side of the border. As one of the last relics of the cold war, the DMZ attracts great deal of public interest. DMZ tourist sites have been created to quench people's curiosity on this unique area where tension and peace coincide.

You will visit Imjingak Park, located 50km northwest of Seoul which was built for 5 million people who lost their homes. You can get a view of the lifestyle of North Korea and an exhibition hall with jets and tanks used during the war.

The third tunnel was discovered on October 17, 1978, it is 1.635 kilometer long, 1.95 meters height and 2.1 meters wide. It is estimated that it took approximately an hour for 10,000 soldiers to move through the tunnel plus their weapons. It is apparently designed for surprise attacks on Seoul from North Korea.
